Clinical Staff Biographies
Steven R. Huber, PT/CKTI/Orthotist
Steve graduated from Temple University in 1973 with a Bachelor's degree
in Physical Therapy and a minor in Research Design. He was employed at
The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago as a Research Physical
Therapist. He completed his orthotics training at Northwestern
University Medical School Prosthetic/Orthotic Center and became a
Certified Orthotist in 1977. After teaching at Northwestern for five
years, he located to Maine where he joined the staff at CMMC as Director
of Physical Therapy.
Steve took a two year sabbatical to travel
to Saudi Arabia where he worked with active polio. He has been a
contributing author to three editions of Neurological Rehabilitation and
has developed original stroke management work, published along the
Brunnstrom theory.
Steve is a Certified Kinesio Taping Instructor
and lectures both nationally and internationally on the Kinesio taping
techniques. He has been in private practice since 1983.

Rebecca Cobb, MSPT

Becky has enjoyed working full-time as a licensed therapist for 23 years
and as a member of the Huber Team for the past 11 years. Becky works
with individuals who have a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological
challenges. She has a special interest in functional mobility training
and in helping her geriatric clients maintain their independence.
Before returning to Maine in 1991, Becky worked as the senior staff
therapist for a busy outpatient clinic in North Carolina. While there,
she completed her Masters degree in Physical Therapy at the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Becky finds her graduate work in motor
control theory helps her design comfortable and practical rehabilitation
plans for her clients.
Becky regularly attends continuing
education programs to ensure she is able to offer her clients exercise,
pain relief, and mobility enhancing treatment options which are state of
the art.

Michael graduated with a BSc degree in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie
University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1996. He worked for a hospital in
upstate New York for five years, treating a wide variety of inpatient
and outpatient clients. He joined the team at Huber Associates in 2001.
Michael has completed continuing education in joint and neural
mobilizations, lumbar stabilization, Kinesio Taping, industrial
ergonomics, and knee and shoulder rehabilitation, among others. He
integrates hands-on therapy with modalities and specific exercise
regimes in his treatments. He strives to provide efficient, effective
and compassionate care with all his clients.
Michael lives in
Auburn with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid cyclist and a
member of the Auburn-based Maine Cycling Club. He also participates in
an annual Multiple Sclerosis fundraiser.

Gayle is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She is a graduate of
Kennebec Valley Community College and worked in Physical Therapy at
MidCoast Hospital for sixteen years before joining Huber Associates in
1990.
Gayle specializes in Aquatic Therapy. She is a certified
Adaptive Aquatics Instructor and a Certified Pool Operator. In 2006, she
became a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner and has been an assistant
to Maine's only Certified Kinesio Taping Instructor.
Gayle has
treated a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries over her 34 years in
practice. She finds aquatic-based exercise has broadened her skills to
work with clients to regain their full rehabilitation potential.
Gayle is a Maine native and resides in Topsham.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington where he
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education. After working
in sports medicine for two years, he returned to school at Kennebec
Valley Community College where he earned an Associates Degree in
Physical Therapy. He is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and has been
practicing since 1995.
Mike has been involved in the design and
implementation of sports specific training programs for youth sports. He
also has significant experience with the design and modification of
personal fitness programs in regards to therapy. Mike's interests lie in
orthopedic and sports related rehabilitation.
Mike resides in
Lewiston with his wife, Peg, and three children, Sam, Zach and Maggie.
His personal interests revolve around coaching youth sports including
football and basketball. Mike is an avid Yankees and Patriots fan.
